Redskins send rookie Moses to IR

Dec 11, 2014 - 9:39 PM Ashburn, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Redskins placed offensive tackle Morgan Moses on injured reserve due to a Lisfranc injury that will require surgery.

Moses, a third-round pick in this past May's NFL Draft, sustained the injury to his foot during practice on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old appeared in eight games this season and made his first career start in place of an injured Trent Williams at left tackle during Washington's loss at San Francisco in Week 12.

Running back Chris Thompson was promoted from the practice squad to fill the available roster spot.
