Bills cut LB Rivers
Feb 17, 2015 - 9:16 PM Orchard Park, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Bills released linebacker Keith Rivers Tuesday after just one season with the team.The move will save Buffalo $1.7 million towards next season's salary cap.
Rivers made just three starts and recorded 16 tackles over 12 games this past season, the first of a two-year contract he signed with the Bills last March.
The former Cincinnati first-round pick has started 50 times over six seasons with the Bengals, New York Giants and Bills. Rivers has compiled 291 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions for his career.
