Report: McCourty to re-sign with Pats
Mar 9, 2015 - 3:39 AM (SportsNetwork.com) - Devin McCourty is staying put.The safety will reportedly re-sign with the New England Patriots.
According to ESPN.com, McCourty agreed to a five-year, $47.5 million contract with $28.5 million guaranteed.
McCourty entered the league as a cornerback but has transitioned into one of the NFL's best safeties.
A first-round pick of the Patriots in 2010, McCourty has been durable throughout his career, missing only three games. He has 17 interceptions and 58 passes defensed over the first five years of his career.
