Hughes set to return to Buffalo

Mar 9, 2015 - 3:02 PM Orchard Park, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Bills weren't willing to let Jerry Hughes hit the open market, re-signing the defensive end to an undisclosed contract on Monday.

According to the Buffalo News on Monday, Hughes and the Bills have agreed to a five-year contract with NFL.com reporting the deal to be worth at least $45 million with $20 million guaranteed.

Hughes has spent the past two seasons in Buffalo after playing three years with Indianapolis. He started 16 games for the first time in his career last season and finished with 10 sacks and 53 tackles.

The 26-year-old TCU product also had 10 sacks in his first year with the Bills after amassing a total of five in three seasons with the Colts, who made him a first-round pick in 2010.
