Bucs release Collins, re-sign Wright, Johnson
Mar 10, 2015 - 10:27 PM Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released veteran offensive tackle Anthony Collins Tuesday.Collins signed a five-year, $30 million contract prior to last season and started 10 games in 2014.
The 29-year-old spent his previous six seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and has played in 69 career games (35 starts).
The Buccaneers also re-signed safety Major Wright and cornerback Leonard Johnson.
Wright made 51 tackles over 12 games (seven starts) last season, his first with Tampa Bay, after spending his previous four seasons with the Chicago Bears.
Johnson recorded 45 tackles and one interception over 16 games in his third season with the Buccaneers.
