Mar 11, 2015 - 1:24 AM (SportsNetwork.com) - The agents for Darrelle Revis tweeted Tuesday night that the star cornerback has agreed to terms on a contract with the New York Jets.Revis, 29, would return to the Jets after two seasons with Tampa Bay and New England.
According to multiple reports, the deal is for five years and $70 million with $39 million fully guaranteed.
He played his first six NFL seasons for the Jets, building a reputation as one of the league's top cornerbacks after they drafted him No. 14 overall in 2007.
Revis started all 16 games last season for the Patriots, collecting 47 tackles and two interceptions on the way to a sixth Pro Bowl nod. The team declined to pick up a reported $20 million option on his contract, making him a free agent at the start of the new league year on Tuesday.
