Buffalo Bills 2015 Draft Preview

Apr 24, 2015 - 5:56 PM (SportsNetwork.com) - The Bills are without a first-round choice after moving up to get receiver Sammy Watkins in 2014. And that fact would be far more palatable to the fans in Western New York if Buffalo had a better option at the quarterback position to get the talented Watkins the football.

Veteran Matt Cassel is fine as a placeholder but few believe the light is ever going off for EJ Manuel at this point. Meanwhile, some lip service has been earmarked toward free agent pickup Tyrod Taylor but he remains a project after serving as Joe Flacco's caddie.

The Bills are brimming with skill-position talent after adding running back LeSean McCoy, tight end Charles Clay and jack-of-all-trades Percy Harvin to a group that already included Watkins, fellow receiver Robert Woods and RB Fred Jackson.

What they need is the answer at the game's most important position, as well as help on the interior of their offensive line and talent at linebacker. Barring a trade back up Buffalo will start at No. 50 where inside linebackers like TCU's Paul Dawson and Mississippi State's Benardrick McKinney could be in play.
