Cardinals claim CB Dennard
May 7, 2015 - 12:04 AM Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals have claimed cornerback Alfonzo Dennard off waivers from the New England Patriots.Dennard was waived by the Patriots on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Dennard started 20 games and logged five interceptions in three seasons with New England, which selected the former Nebraska standout in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was active for only six games in 2014 before landing on injured reserve prior to Week 17.
Dennard will likely compete for playing time behind veterans Patrick Peterson and Jerraud Powers in Arizona.
