Pats bring back LB Spikes
May 18, 2015 - 9:09 PM Foxborough, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New England Patriots have brought back Brandon Spikes, signing the linebacker to an undisclosed contract on Monday.Spikes spent his first four seasons in the league with New England before going to Buffalo for the 2014 season.
A second-round pick in 2010 out of Florida by the Pats, Spikes has played in 67 career games and has 340 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions.
Last season in Buffalo, he played in all 16 games, making 10 starts, and had 54 tackles and one sack.
The Pats also announced on Monday that they have released cornerback Chimdi Chekwa, linebacker Cameron Gordon and wide receiver Devin Gardner.
