Broncos extend WR Stokley
Dec 8, 2007 - 6:52 PM ENGLEWOOD, Colorado (Ticker) -- The Denver Broncos on Saturday signed veteran wide receiver Brandon Stokley to a three-year contract extension through the 2010 season.Financial terms were not disclosed for Stokley, who originally signed a one-year contract with the Broncos in March.
Stokley, 31, has 39 catches for 614 yards and four touchdowns this season. He moved into the starting lineup when Javon Walker, the Broncos' No. 1 wide receiver, went down with a knee injury and was forced to miss seven games.
The nine-year veteran has played in 87 career games with Indianapolis, Baltimore and the Broncos. He has 241 receptions for 3,508 yards and 26 touchdowns.
