- NEW YORK - Tom Brady must serve a four-game NFL ban in the ''Deflategate'' scandal. In siding with the league, a federal appeals court overturns a lower-court ruling.

- CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina receives a new document from the NCAA outlining violations connected to the school's long-running academic fraud scandal, the AP is told.

- DALLAS - Prosecutors will announce Tuesday whether Johnny Manziel has been indicted on allegations he attacked his ex-girlfriend in January.

- Three first-round NBA playoff games: Miami (up 2-1) at Charlotte (7 p.m.); Dallas (down 3-1) at Oklahoma City (8 p.m.); and Los Angeles Clippers (up 2-1) at Portland (10:30 p.m.).

- OAKLAND, Calif. - The Golden State Warriors await results of an MRI on star guard Stephen Curry's sprained right knee.

- Two first-round NHL playoff games: Anaheim (up 3-2) at Nashville (8 p.m.) and Chicago (tied 3-3) at St. Louis (8:30 p.m.).

- ASHBURN, Va. - Cornerback Josh Norman is introduced as the newest member of the Washington Redskins in the team's first big-name signing under general manager Scot McCloughan.

- MADRID - Extra security may be needed to protect athletes staying outside the Olympic Village during the Rio Games. Among them is Rafael Nadal, who will be staying at a friend's house.

- MADRID - Rafael Nadal sues a former French minister who accused him of doping. The tennis star says he needs to defend his integrity and image as an athlete.

- SAN FRANCISCO - Madison Bumgarner goes for his first victory since opening day when the Giants ace faces the San Diego Padres. Game starts 10:15 p.m.

- ROME - Juventus clinches its fifth straight Italian league A title with three games to spare. It's the first time a team has won Serie A after losing four of its opening 10 matches.
