Texans' Davis has two TD returns
Dec 30, 2007 - 7:50 PM HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Andre Davis of the Houston Texans on Sunday became the seventh player in NFL history to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in the same game.Davis achieved the milestone on back-to-back kickoff returns against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The sixth-year wide receiver went 97 yards with 15 seconds to play in the first half to give the Texans a 21-14 lead.
Davis did the previous return one better, taking the second-half kickoff 104 yards. It was his third kickoff return for a score this season and fourth career.
The last player to return a pair of kickoffs for touchdowns in a game was the Chicago Bears' Devin Hester, who accomplished the feat against the St. Louis Rams on December 11, 2006.
