Texans sign WR Davis
Feb 29, 2008 - 10:39 PM HOUSTON (Ticker) -- The Houston Texans re-signed wide receiver Andre Davis, the team announced Friday.Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Houston Chronicle reported Davis signed a four-year deal worth $16 million.
The 28-year-old Davis made 33 catches for 583 yards and three touchdowns and also returned three kicks for TDs last season, his first with the Texans.
"We're glad that another phase of the season is over, and we can move on and try to enjoy the last bit of this offseason," Davis told the Chronicle.
"We were extremely happy with what Houston came up with, and we decided to stay here because it's best for us."
For his career, Davis has 137 catches for 2,198 yards and 17 touchdowns in parts of six seasons with the Texans, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and Browns.
