Texans sign LB Adibi
Jul 17, 2008 - 1:56 AM HOUSTON (Ticker) -- The Houston Texans on Wednesday signed linebacker Xavier Adibi to a contract.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"My dream since I was a little kid was to be an NFL player," said Adibi, who was selected in the fourth round - 118th overall - of the 2008 draft. "So, it felt very good to sign my contract with the Texans and concentrate on just football now."
The 6-1, 236-pound Adibi recorded 291 tackles - 133 solo - with 11 sacks at Virginia Tech. He also caused five fumbles and recovered another that he advanced 35 yards for a touchdown.
