Eagles, DT Laws agree to four-year deal
Jul 22, 2008 - 12:53 AM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Philadelphia Eagles on Monday signed the last of their 10 draft picks, agreeing to terms with defensive tackle Trevor Laws on a four-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed. Laws was one of the team's two second-round draft picks. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson, the other second-round selection, signed a four-year deal Sunday.
A 6-1, 304-pounder out of Notre Dame, Laws registered a career-high 112 tackles and 4.0 sacks last year. He led all defensive linemen nationally in tackles.
Laws had 224 tackles and 10 sacks in 49 games, including 10 starts. He had 22 1/2 tackles for losses and blocked six kicks in his career.
