Eagles place DT Laws on PUP list

Jul 22, 2008 - 6:20 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday placed defensive tackle Trevor Laws, their first pick in this year's draft, on the physically unable to perform list (PUP) with a foot injury.

The Eagles also put defensive end Bryan Smith (hamstring) and cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu (knee) on the PUP list.

According to Eagles coach Andy Reid, Laws, who was taken with the 16th pick in the second round, and Smith are scheduled to return to practice in the next few days, although they will be ineligible for the first six games of the regular season.

Ikegwuonu is expected to miss the entire season due to a knee injury suffered during a workout prior to the NFL draft.
