Falcons DE Abraham leaves game vs. Jaguars

Aug 10, 2008 - 12:47 AM JACKSONVILLE (Ticker) -- Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Abraham left Saturday's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a right ankle injury and will not return.

Abraham, who was acquired from the New York Jets in March 2006, is entering third year of a six-year, $45 million contract.

The 30-year-old started every game for Atlanta in 2007, totaling 32 tackles and 10 sacks. For his career, the nine-year veteran has 67 1/2 sacks and 313 tackles.
