EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) - Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson left Monday night's preseason game against the New York Giants with an undisclosed injury.
Anderson was sacked by Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora and driven into the ground with 13:17 left in the second quarter.
The quarterback's helmet bounced hard off the ground, leading to speculation he may have suffered a concussion.
"We will have to see how he is tomorrow," said Browns coach Romeo Crennel, who added that Anderson almost may have suffered a bruised hand. "The head injury is the most concerning.
Appearing to be shaken up and a bit wobbly, Anderson was removed from the game and taken to the locker room.
Brady Quinn, the Browns' first-round pick in 2007, replaced Anderson, who finished just 4-of-10 for 20 yards.
