NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- New York Jets cornerback Justin Miller will miss one to three weeks with a dislocated left toe, according to Sunday's Newark Star-Ledger.
The newspaper reported that the team has not revealed the extent of the injury, but according to a source with knowledge of the situation, Miller could miss the Jets' season opener against the Miami Dolphins on September 7.
Miller was hurt late in the second quarter of Saturday's 10-7 preseason victory over the New York Giants while making a tackle on running back Brandon Jacobs. He limped off the field, was carted to the locker room and did not return.
A second-round pick in 2005, Miller missed all but two games last season due to a knee injury. The 24-year-old has 97 tackles in 34 games with the Jets.
