Patriots QB Brady off injury report, could start Sunday
Sep 5, 2008 - 2:43 AM FOXBORO, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- Despite much speculation over his bothersome right foot, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was not on Thursday's team injury report.Brady, who was on the report Wednesday with foot and shoulder injuries, was cited as having full participation in practice and, as a result, was completely removed from the list.
Brady's health has been a topic of discussion during the preseason, with many suggesting that the star signal-caller has a more serious injury than the Patriots are admitting.
The 2007 NFL MVP, Brady threw a record 50 touchdown passes last season, leading New England to an undefeated regular season and an 18-1 overall record after the Patriots suffered a 17-14 loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII.
The 31-year-old Brady most likely will get his first chance to bounce back from that loss in New England's season opener Sunday vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
No one has shouted yet.
