Bucs release Troupe, activate Stevens
Sep 17, 2008 - 6:22 PM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday released tight end Ben Troupe and activated tight end Jerramy Stevens from his two-game suspension.Troupe, who spent his first four seasons with the Tennessee Titans, signed with the Bucs this offseason but did not make a catch during the first two games.
Stevens was serving his supsension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He made 18 catches for 189 yards and four touchdowns last season - his first with Tampa Bay after spending five up-and-down campaigns with the Seattle Seahawks.
