Panthers LT Gross out with head injury

Sep 28, 2008 - 7:22 PM CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) - Carolina Panthers left tackle Jordan Gross left Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons with an undisclosed head injury.

He will not return to the game.

Gross was injured with 9:45 to play in the opening quarter. After laying face down on the turf for several moments, a cart was brought onto the field.

However, Gross finally sat up and waived off the cart. He then walked off the field.

The Panthers also saw left right tackle Jeff Otah leave the game with an ankle injury in the third quarter.

One of the team's two first-round picks in April, Otah's return is questionable.
