KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- Kansas City Chiefs rookie left tackle Branden Albert, one of the team's two first-round picks in this year's draft, was carted off the field late in the first half of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.
There was no official diagnosis from the Chiefs, but Kansas City coach Herman Edwards said during a halftime interview that Albert appeared to suffer a hyperextended right elbow.
Albert did not return and was replaced at left tackle by Herb Taylor.
