Bengals QB Palmer insists he will play
Oct 2, 2008 - 8:08 PM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer tested his sore elblow by throwing on the side in Thursday's practice and insisted he will play in Sunday's game at the Dallas Cowboys."It definitely feels much better today than it did yesterday," Palmer said. "I'm playing. I'm preparing to play. I expect to play until I'm told differently.
"I'll try to throw again tomorrow and see what happens."
Palmer did not start last Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns due to an elbow injury. The 20-12 loss dropped Cincinnati to 0-4.
Palmer had started every game over the past three seasons before sitting out against the Browns.
Ryan Fitzpatrick would start against Dallas if Palmer is unable to go. In his first start since 2005, Fitzpatrick finished 21-of-35 for 156 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions against Cleveland.
