ASHBURN, Virginia (Ticker) -- Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Taylor on Friday was listed as out for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, while cornerback Shawn Springs is questionable.
Both players are suffering from calf injuries.
Taylor's absence is not surprising. He underwent surgery last week after being kicked in the calf in the second quarter of a 24-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on September 21.
The injury sidelined him for last weekend's contest against the Dallas Cowboys, ending his consecutive games played streak at 133.
Taylor, who last missed a game in 1999, had the seventh-longest streak among active players.
Springs injured his calf during the second half against Dallas and did not return. On Wednesday, he said the calf was sore but he hoped to play against the Eagles.
