BEREA, Ohio (Ticker) -- Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. missed his second consecutive practice Thursday with an undisclosed illness.

Browns coach Romeo Crennel said that Winslow will visit a doctor Thursday and his status for Monday night's game against the New York Giants is still unknown.

"We'll send him down, let the doctors look at him and they'll let us know," Crennel said. "He's a valuable piece to this puzzle so if he's able to do something in practice (later in the week) then we'll let him do something, catch him up and get him ready. He'll want to play. We'll do everything we can to let him play."

Winslow leads Cleveland with 19 receptions for 170 yards and one score.
