Eagles RB Westbrook among inactives for game vs. 49ers
Oct 12, 2008 - 7:24 PM SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) -- All-Pro running back Brian Westbrook and wide receivers Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis are among the Philadelphia Eagles players listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.Westbrook suffered two fractured ribs in last week's 23-17 loss to the Washington Redskins and already had been ruled out of Sunday's game.
Correll Buckhalter will get his second start of the season in Westbrook's place. Buckhalter ran for 66 yards and a TD in a 24-20 loss to Chicago on September 28.
Brown also had been ruled out of Sunday's game with a groin injury, but the Eagles had hoped that Curtis, who has not played since the preseason while recovering from sports hernia surgery, could play after practicing with the team for the first time this week.
