Vikings sign LB Thomas, place T Radovich on IR
Oct 13, 2008 - 10:09 PM EDEN PRAIRIE, Minnesota (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Vikings signed linebacker Dontarrious Thomas and placed tackle Drew Radovich on injured reserve Monday.Thomas returns to Minnesota after failing to make it through training camp with San Francisco. The 28-year-old played the previous four seasons with the Vikings after being drafted in the second round in 2004.
In 59 games over the previous four years including 10 starts, Thomas recorded 145 tackles - 96 solo, 1 1/2 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Thomas will fill the spot on the roster opened up by the rookie Radovich, who had his season ended prematurely due a shoulder injury. The 23-year-old, who did not get into a game, was an undrafted rookie out of Southern California.
