Steelers RB Parker misses practice with knee injury

Oct 15, 2008 - 10:46 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Willie Parker's expected return apparently has fallen through a hole.

The Pittsburgh Steelers running back missed practice Wednesday after aggravating the left knee injury that sidelined him for the previous two games.

Parker, who has been sidelined since spraining his knee against Philadelphia on September 21, was expected to be back in the lineup this week against AFC North rival Cincinnati.

But Parker stepped in a hole in practice Monday that aggravated the injury, according to numerous reports, clouding his chance of playing.

Instead, the Steelers likely will turn to backup Mewelde Moore, who filled in for Parker and injured rookie Rashard Mendenhall with 99 rushing yards in the 26-21 victory at Jacksonville in Week Five.
