Broncos WR Stokley, RB Young among inactives
Oct 20, 2008 - 11:53 PM FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- The Denver Broncos declared wide receiver Brandon Stokley, running back Selvin Young and tight end Tony Scheffler inactive prior to Monday night's game against the New England Patriots.The Broncos' leading rusher this season, Young also missed last week's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars with a groin injury. Michael Pittman will get his second straight start at running back.
Stokley, who has 24 receptions for 262 yards and two touchdowns, suffered a concussion last week. Scheffler will be missing his second straight game with a groin injury.
The Patriots, who placed running back Laurence Maroney on injured reserve earlier Monday, declared running back LaMont Jordan inactive. Jordan was listed as doubtful with a calf injury.
Sammy Morris will get the start at running back for New England.
