Steelers RB Parker likely to miss game against Giants

Oct 24, 2008 - 4:07 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Pittsburgh Steelers running back Willie Parker missed practice Friday, putting status for this weekend's game against the New York Giants in doubt.

Parker has missed the past three games with sprained MCL in his left knee. He went through a full practice Wednesday, but was limited in Thursday's workout.

If Parker is unable to go, Mewelde Moore would start. Moore has played well in Parker's absence, rushing for 219 yards and two touchdowns.

In addition to Parker, defensive end Aaron Smith was excused from practice for a third straight day due to personal reasons.
