ORCHARD PARK, New York (Ticker) -- Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch returned to Sunday's game against the New York Jets with 8:48 remaining in the third quarter.
Lynch walked to the locker room midway through the second period with flu-like symptoms, the Bills said.
He carried five times for just two yards in the first half, but also had two receptions for 47 yards, including a career-high 42-yard catch that set up Trent Edwards' 9-yard touchdown pass to Derrick Fine.
Lynch is the Bills' leading rusher, entering Sunday's game with 450 yards and six touchdowns on 123 carries.
