49ers WR Battle ruled out for Monday
Nov 6, 2008 - 7:37 PM SANTA CLARA, California (Ticker) -- San Francisco 49ers receiver Arnaz Battle was ruled out for Monday night's game against the Arizona Cardinals with a foot sprain.49ers coach Mike Singletary made the announcement Thursday. He also said that offensive tackle Barry Sims will not be available with an ankle injury and safety Dashon Goldson is out with a knee injury.
Battle's streak of 42 consecutive games will come to an end. The slot receiver has 24 receptions for 318 yards and no touchdowns this season.
San Francisco, which is coming off a bye week, has lost five straight games.
