Report: Patriots LB Thomas has broken arm
Nov 10, 2008 - 4:03 PM BRISTOL, Connecticut (Ticker) -- The New England Patriots could be without linebacker Adalius Thomas for the remainder of the season.Thomas suffered a broken left forearm in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills and likely will miss the rest of the year, according to a report posted Monday morning by ESPN.com.
Citing anonymous sources, the report stated that Thomas sustained the injury in the first half of New England's 20-10 victory over the Bills.
"It's not good," a source told ESPN.com. "He's probably done (for the season)."
The Patriots failed to confirm the report.
Thomas, 31, has recorded 34 tackles and is tied for the team lead with five sacks this season.
The long-term loss of Thomas would be a devastating blow for the injury-plagued Patriots (6-3), who are tied with the New York Jets for first place in the AFC East.
New England, which hosts New York on Thursday night, already has placed reigning league MVP Tom Brady, veteran safety Rodney Harrison and starting running back Laurence Maroney on season-ending injured reserve this year.
