Report: Jets sign CB Law
Nov 11, 2008 - 12:35 AM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Jets will have additional help in their secondary for Thursday's showdown against the New England Patriots.Citing the NFL network, the New York Post reported on Monday that the Jets signed veteran cornerback Ty Law.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"This is going to be different playing Thursday night against the Patriots, matching up against my former team and the players I'm used to practicing against," Law told the NFL Network, according to the published report. "I know (the Patriots) are going to throw at me, but I welcome the challenge - bring it. I got the tricks for you."
Law played for the Patriots from 1995 to 2004, and then the Jets in 2005. He spent 2006-2007 with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 34-year-old recorded 47 tackles and two interceptions with the Chiefs last season.
