Ravens place CB McAlister, S Landry on IR
Nov 11, 2008 - 10:25 PM OWINGS MILLS, Maryland (Ticker) -- The Baltimore Ravens took two hits to their secondary on Tuesday.The Ravens placed cornerback Chris McAlister and strong safety Dawan Landry on season-ending injured reserve.
McAlister, who has been battling knee injuries since training camp, underwent surgery Monday to repair a torn PCL and cartilage damage in his right knee.
A three-time Pro Bowler, McAlister has missed the last three games. He had 16 tackles and three interceptions before being sidelined.
Landry has not played since Week Three, when he suffered a spinal cord concussion following a collision with Cleveland Browns running back Jamal Lewis.
Also on Tuesday, the Ravens signed linebacker Robert McCune and wide receiver Marcus Maxwell.
