Chiefs sign DE Babin
Nov 12, 2008 - 7:01 PM KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- The Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday signed defensive end Jason Babin.Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Kansas City is in desperate need of a pass rusher, ranking last in the NFL with just six sacks.
Of course, the Chiefs traded away defensive end Jared Allen in the offseason, losing his league-leading 15 1/2 sacks in the process.
Babin, 28, appeared in just two games in each of the last two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, registering just one tackle.
A first-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2004, he had 13 sacks in his first three seasons with the Texans.
No one has shouted yet.
