Cowboys RB Jones unlikely to play
Nov 14, 2008 - 6:28 PM IRVING, Texas (Ticker) - Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones, who has yet to fully recover from a hamstring injury, is unlikely to play Sunday against the Washington Redskins.Jones, who missed his third straight practice Friday, has been sidelined for the last three games after slightly tearing his hamstring against Arizona on October 12.
There have been fears within the organization that if Jones returns too soon and aggravates the injury that he could miss the remainder of the season.
One of the Cowboys' two first-round picks this past spring, Jones is averaging 8.9 yards per carry this season and has three touchdowns on 30 rushing attempts.
