Chiefs sign pair of free agents
Nov 19, 2008 - 6:35 PM KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- The Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday agreed to terms with linebacker Curtis Gatewood and defensive end Andy Studebaker on two-year contracts.Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
Gatewood was signed by the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt. The rookie spent nine weeks on the team's practice squad.
Studebaker was a sixth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in April. He spent 11 weeks on their practice squad.
Also on Wednesday, the Chiefs promoted running back Jackie Battle to the 53-man roster from their practice squad.
