Cowboys RB Jones returns to practice
Nov 19, 2008 - 9:38 PM IRVING, Texas (Ticker) -- Slowly but surely, the Dallas Cowboys are getting healthy.Cowboys running back Felix Jones, who has missed four games with a hamstring injury, returned to practice Wednesday and could play in Sunday's contest against the San Francisco 49ers.
Jones has been sidelined since suffering the injury in the second half at Arizona on October 12.
Prior to the injury, he had rushed for 266 yards in three touchdowns in Dallas' first five games. He also averaged 27 yards on kickoff returns, including one for a touchdown.
Quarterback Tony Romo and cornerback Terence Newman returned to the lineup against Washington last week.
However, the Cowboys are still shorthanded at receiver. Miles Austin remains sidelined with a knee injury and Terrell Owens missed Wednesday's practice because he was ill.
