Jets QB Ainge suspended four games

Nov 21, 2008 - 10:50 PM FLORHAM PARK, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The NFL suspended New York Jets rookie quarterback Erik Ainge four games Friday for violating the league's policy on steroids and related substances.

A fifth-round draft pick out of Tennessee, Ainge was inactive for the first seven games of the season before being placed on injured reserve with a right foot injury.

Ainge will be eligible to rejoin the team on December 15 following the Jets' contest against the Buffalo Bills.
