Jaguars release Kennedy, Brown
Nov 24, 2008 - 9:43 PM JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Ticker) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars shuffled their roster Monday, releasing defensive lineman Jimmy Kennedy and guard Milford Brown.Kennedy was a former No. 1 pick - 12th overall - by the St. Louis Rams in 2003 but never lived up to his promise.
The 6-4, 320-pounder has five career sacks, with three coming in 2005. He appeared in six games this season, recording eight tackles and one sack.
Brown was signed by the Jaguars on September 9 following season-ending injuries to starters Vince Manuwai and Maurice Williams. He started four games.
A seven-year veteran, Brown started 43 games - 27 starts from 2002-2007 for Houston, Arizona and St. Louis.
