Jaguars put P Podlesh on IR

Nov 25, 2008 - 9:38 PM JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Ticker) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars made a flurry of roster moves Tuesday, placing punter Adam Podlesh on injured reserve and activating tight end George Wrighster off the physically unable to perform list.

Podlesh suffered a knee injury in Sunday's 30-12 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The Jaguars signed free agent punter Steve Weatherford to take his spot.

Weatherford joins his third team this season, having already played for the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs.

In his second season, Podlesh had appeared in 27 consecutive games for the Jaguars.

Wrightster, who has been expected to see major playing time, has been on the PUP list all season with a knee injury. Defensive lineman Jeremy Mincey also was activated off the PUP list.

In a corresponding move, Jacksonville waived cornerback Omare Lowe, who appeared in five games after being signed by the team on September 24 and recorded just four tackles this season.
