Steelers RB Parker questionable, DE Keisel out vs. Patriots

Nov 26, 2008 - 11:01 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Pittsburgh Steelers running back Willie Parker, who has fought through an injury-plagued 2008 season, is listed as questionable for this weekend's showdown against the New England Patriots.

The team announced on Wednesday that Parker suffered inflammation in his left knee during last Thursday's 27-13 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The fifth-year back left in the third quarter after 14 carries and did not return.

If he is not able to go, Mewelde Moore will start in his place.

Parker has already missed five games this season with a sprained knee that he originally suffered in Week Three in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. In six games, he has rushed for 485 yards on 126 carries with six touchdowns.

The Steelers will be without defensive end Brent Keisel, who has a sprained MCL and is likely to miss the team's next two games. Meanwhile, wide receiver Santonio Holmes is expected to be ready to play despite suffering a mild concussion.
