Rams coach Haslett fined for swearing at officials
Nov 27, 2008 - 1:14 AM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The NFL on Wednesday fined St. Louis Rams coach Jim Haslett $20,000 for swearing at the officials during a Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers.Haslett received a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after Marc Bulger completed a 29-yard pass to rookie Donnie Avery late in the third quarter of the Rams' 35-16 loss on November 16.
St. Louis was running a no-huddle offense at the time and wanted to snap the ball before the 49ers could challenge the play, which was close to the sideline.
Haslett was unhappy that the official was standing over the ball, not allowing the Rams to run a play.
No one has shouted yet.
