NFL fines Dolphins LB Porter for unsportsmanlike conduct
Nov 29, 2008 - 2:26 AM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The NFL on Friday fined Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter for unsportsmanlike conduct during his team's 48-28 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.Porter was fined $7,500 for verbally abusing the opponent after the play was over.
The 31-year-old Porter has 39 tackles and 14.5 sacks this season for the Dolphins (6-5), who visit the St. Louis Rams (2-9) on Sunday.
