NFL fines Redskins WR Moss
Nov 29, 2008 - 7:27 AM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The NFL on Friday fined Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss for his open-handed slap to Seattle Seahawks cornerback Josh Wilson's helmet during last Sunday's game.The league fined Moss $5,000 for his actions. The 29-year-old wideout drew a 15-yard penalty on the play.
Moss has 53 catches for 773 yards and five touchdowns for the Redskins (7-4), who will face the the New York Giants (10-1) on Sunday.
