49ers waive LB Brooks
Nov 29, 2008 - 5:30 PM SANTA CLARA, California (Ticker) - The San Francisco 49ers on Saturday waived linebacker Ahmad Brooks and signed wide receiver Chris Hannon from the practice squad.Brooks, a third-round supplemental draft pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2006, was inactive for the 49ers' first 11 games this season.
Hannon was signed to San Francisco's practice squad prior to the season. He has spent time on the practice squads of Kansas City and Carolina since 2006.
