Eagles place G Jean-Gilles on injured reserve
Dec 3, 2008 - 5:15 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday placed guard Max Jean-Gilles on season-ending injured reserve with a broken fibula.Jean-Gilles had been starting in place of Shawn Andrews, who has ben sidelined by an ailing back. He was injured in a 48-20 win over Arizona on Thanksgiving Day.
To replace Jean-Gilles on the roster, the Eagles signed offensive tackle Chris Patrick from the practice squad.
The team also signed guard Tala Esera to the practice squad.
