Colts LB Brackett out two weeks
Dec 3, 2008 - 9:34 PM INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Indianapolis Colts linebacker Gary Brackett will miss at least two weeks with a broken bone in his right leg, head coach Tony Dungy announced Wednesday. There is concern that Brackett could miss the rest of the season, but the Colts (8-4) did not place him on injured reserve in hopes that he could return for the playoffs.
"Our hope is that he'll be back and ready to play, so we're just going to fight through it shorthanded until he gets back," Dungy said.
Brackett, who leads the team with 100 tackles in 12 games, suffered the injury in Sunday's 10-6 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Second-year linebacker Buster Davis will make his first career start in place of Brackett this week against the Cincinnati Bengals (1-10-1).
